The only downside I can foresee is that users would not be able to flip through books to see whether they are good or not. After learning skillful use of book reviews and summaries though, I don’t think this will be a bother though. I do wish I lived in the United States. There are so many cool learning tech available there, such as interactive white boards. I would have access to much bigger libraries too.
Then again, America has some of the worst scores in education metrics, so I would probably be worse off there if I cannot get into the ‘good’ schools. Still, a freer education is extremely alluring to me, especially the type the Sudbury schools.
